My senior thesis covers Kimberly Banda's experience as a first generation Latina at a PWI. Motivated to embrace her roots and to create a sense of belonging on campus, Banda promotes the advancement of her intersecting identity groups through community building. Her efforts are devoted to benefiting the collegiate experience for incoming students who might share in her struggles of minority identity in leadership and higher education.
